Praying For Rain

Greetings to all from Liturgy Brisbane.

The Australian Catholic Bishops Conference has dedicated the month of November as a time of prayer for those effected by drought and for the arrival of much needed rain in drought affected regions. Resources from the National Prayer Campaign for Drought can be found at https://www.catholic.org.au/drought

The first two articles in this edition of LitEd present suggestions for prayers, readings and intercessions that may be used in parishes, schools and families when praying for rain. The third article explores Rituals of Lament which speak to the experiences of both drought and flood in Australia.

Best wishes from Tom Elich and Clare Schwantes
